MOPS

Today the kids and I attended our first meeting of MOPS (Mothers Of PreSchoolers). The kids are actually MOPPETS. So twice a month we will all three spend 2 1/2 hours with people our own age. It was great. The kids played and had some time without Mama, and I got to have brunch, talk about toddlers pooping in their underwear, and meet some moms who live near me, all while making a beaded bracelet. What a beautiful thing. It was really nice to be catered to. There was a Yankee votive candle next to my name tag, lots of friendly faces at my assigned table, and an array of breakfast casseroles, fruit, and sweets along one wall. Now how can a day go wrong when you have brownies and watermelon for breakfast, I ask you? I’m at the Monarch table with 3 other teachers and 2 women also potty-training their 2 year-old boys. Funny enough we all the have the same hang-up with it…….no poopy in the potty. You know, it’s the little things that unite us all. ;-)

oh man, totally understand– Jordan will be 3 next weekend– he had just gotten to pooping in the potty and was doing it regularly– well this last week he decided to go back to his old ways– he pees in the potty– no problems– but now he goes to hiding when he poops– arggg! Very frustrating!!! :)
