What’s Going On?

Today when we were at my dad’s, we were talking about all those “various artists relief songs” like “We Are the World”. Anna was showing us this one from Canada in 1985, for Famine relief, called “Tears are Not Enough.” It’s great…..hilarious actually.

Potty Chronicles - “Pee-Pee Store!”

Everything is looking great on the potty-training front. Actually, we’re done. I am so delighted that I am planning to start with Maylee this summer, which is 6 months earlier than with Conner, but he was ready much earlier than I was (student-teaching, moving, sheer grit and determination to actually get started). So I’ll have [...]

Cat Massage

Everyone likes a good massage right? Well I goes that goes for dogs as well…..even if it’s from a cat! This youtube video is hillarious. Make sure you can hear it, because the narration is so funny.

The Two Toddlers…..

Admittedly, every mother thinks their kid is a genius. I think it’s just that we aren’t expecting them to know so much so fast! I don’t want my children to grow-up in a hurry…but it seems that they are. Maylee is blowing kisses, pointing to things she wants, hollaring at Conner, running (bow-legged) to things/people [...]

Ice Cream for Breakfast!

Thank you for all the Birthday wishes! I woke-up to a note on the fridge (Clint left for TX in the night for the Heartsupport Tour.) I have had several phone calls, emails, and cards. I think Conner even knows, no tantrums. I am really living it up today……had chocolate ice cream with fudge [...]

Tried and True

So, I am not keeping up with the recipe tab on this site as well as I had hoped…buy who’s kiddin’ who here? I have to ignore my husband and children to make time to blog! But for Christmas I copied, longhand, 84 recipes for Valeri! She had mentioned to someone else that she [...]

Pump-Pump-Pump It Up!

Regress to cheerleading…sorry. So I, like so many others, have made my way back to the gym in ‘08. No resolution, it’s just that our schedule slowed down enough for me to get some time…..rather Clint’s schedule since he is with our little darlings while I am sweatin’ it out on the treadmill. I’m shooting [...]

Umami…..?

No, it’s not baby talk. It’s actually one of the five basic senses on your tongue, accompanied by sweet, salty, bitter, and sour. It is better described as “savory”, or xiānwèi if you speak Chinese.

Me & My Own

No resolutions for me. Just a different mode of thinking for the year. (Maybe if I flower-up what I call it….I’ll do it.) I’ve been thinking alot lately about how easy it is to just drift through life and sort of squander opportunities. You don’t ever decide to do it…..you just get bogged down in [...]

Flying to “Haites” in a Handbasket

Anyone that flies during the holidays should expect some delays and inconveniences. Our flight home was calm and uneventful, well as much as it could be with 2 toddlers! But today was another story. We woke-up at 3am to make the trek to the city to catch the first flight out. No problem, Conner was [...]
